Litho with chine-collé is a printmaking method where delicate pieces of paper are attached to a litho with thicker archival sheet over an original plate using a printing press. This results in a layered look and is often used to add extra color, texture, or visual interest to the print. Each work is printed using a signed plate, affirming its authenticity and exclusivity. Chine collé works are made with natural papers, and variations such as wrinkles and overlaps are an intentional part of the artwork’s character. Artwork ships unframed, rolled in a tube.
